International Gateways, San José State University, is located in downtown San José, California, one of the most multicultural cities in the US and the center of Silicon Valley. Since 1975, we have helped thousands of students from more than 60 countries improve their English Language skills and prepare for academic success in an American classroom.

ACADEMICS

We offer a variety of programs taught by highly qualified, dedicated instructors. Academic English and Test Preparation has eight levels of instruction with flexible start dates. We also offer Conditional Admission, Semester at SJSU, MBA Preparation and Active Communication in English.

San José State University boasts 145 areas of study, with popular majors in Business, Engineering, Design and Computer Science. Both bachelor’s and master’s degrees are available.

If you would like to study at community college after your English studies at SJSU, you may qualify for a TOEFL waiver at one of our local partner colleges.

Our friendly staff are here to help! We offer advising on academics, housing and immigration.  Our dedicated activities coordinator plans a variety of student activities. Conversation Club, soccer, hiking and cultural celebrations are a just few of the activities where you can relax and socialize with friends.
